Terms of Service

Welcome to Graviton. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Graviton image compression service available at www.gravitonimages.com ("Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Graviton, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Graviton.

2. Description of Service

Graviton provides an online image compression, optimization, and format conversion service. The Service allows you to:

• Compress images to reduce file size while maintaining quality
• Convert images between supported formats: JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, and GIF
• Process multiple images in bulk
• Adjust compression quality and output settings

The maximum file size accepted is 50MB per image. Images are processed server-side using streaming, held in memory only, and immediately discarded after the compressed result is delivered to you.

3. Account Registration

To use Graviton, you must create an account. Authentication is provided through Clerk. When you register, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
• Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account and use the Service.

4. Subscription Plans & Billing

Graviton offers the following subscription plans:

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly. Billing is managed through our payment processor. You may cancel your subscription at any time, and your plan will remain active until the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial months.

Daily compression limits reset at midnight UTC. Unused compressions do not roll over to the next day.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Graviton only for lawful purposes. You may not:

• Upload images that contain illegal content
• Use the Service to process images that infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
• Attempt to circumvent usage limits or abuse the Service
• Use automated tools or bots to access the Service without permission
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
• Upload malicious files or attempt to exploit vulnerabilities in the Service

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without prior notice.

6. Intellectual Property

Your Content

You retain all rights to the images you upload and the compressed output files. Graviton does not claim any ownership, license, or rights to your images. Since images are processed in memory and immediately discarded, we have no ongoing access to your content.

Our Service

The Graviton name, logo, website design, and underlying technology are the intellectual property of Graviton. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the Service without prior written permission.

7. Image Processing & Privacy

Your images are processed with the highest regard for privacy:

• Images are processed server-side via streaming, entirely in memory
• Images are never written to disk or stored in any database
• Image data is immediately discarded from server memory after compression
• No Graviton employee or system retains access to your images
• Images are never used for training, analytics, or any secondary purpose

8. Service Availability

We strive to keep Graviton available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to:

• Scheduled maintenance or updates
• Infrastructure issues beyond our control
• Force majeure events

We will make reasonable efforts to notify users in advance of any planned downtime. We are not liable for any loss or damage resulting from service interruptions.

9. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Graviton shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of data or images
• Loss of profits or revenue
• Business interruption
• Damage to computer systems or data

Our total liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to Graviton in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Graviton, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising out of or related to:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any applicable law or regulation
• Content you upload that infringes on the rights of any third party

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our discretion if:

• You violate these Terms of Service
• You engage in activity that harms the Service or other users
• Required by law or regulation

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Any provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect, including intellectual property provisions, limitation of liability, and indemnification.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We may also notify you via email for significant changes. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

If you disagree with any changes, you should discontinue use of the Service and delete your account.
