These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Graviton at www.gravitonimages.com (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Who we are

Graviton is run by Răileanu Emanuel-Alin PFA, a sole trader registered in Romania (“Graviton”, “we” or “us” in these Terms).

2. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using Graviton, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms are a legally binding agreement between you and Graviton.

3. Description of the service

Graviton is an image compression, conversion and resizing tool that runs in your web browser. It lets you:

• compress images to a chosen quality or to a maximum file size;
• convert JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF and HEIC images to JPG, PNG, WebP or AVIF;
• crop and resize images, remove their metadata, and process many images at once.

Images up to 100 MB and 120 megapixels each are accepted, on both plans. Processing happens on your device; your images are not uploaded to Graviton.

4. Accounts

You can compress, convert, crop, resize and preview images without an account. You need a free account to download them. Authentication is provided by Clerk. You agree to:

• provide accurate and complete information;
• keep your account credentials secure;
• tell us promptly about any unauthorized access to your account;
• take responsibility for all activity under your account.

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

5. Plans and billing

Free costs nothing and needs no card. Current Pro prices are shown on the pricing page and at checkout, in US dollars. No VAT is charged, as Graviton isn’t registered for VAT. Pro is a subscription billed monthly or yearly, as you choose, through Clerk Billing and its payment processor, Stripe. You may cancel at any time; your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for. No refunds are given for partial periods.

Compressing, converting, resizing and previewing are unlimited on both plans; the Free daily limit counts downloads only. On Free, each different image counts once per UTC day, when it is first downloaded; downloading the same image again that day, on the same device and in any format, size or quality, does not count again. The limit resets at midnight UTC (the app shows that time in your own time zone), and unused downloads do not roll over. Downloads on Pro are not counted. Both plans include every feature; Pro only removes the daily download limit.

6. Acceptable use

You agree to use Graviton only for lawful purposes. You may not:

• process images that contain illegal content;
• process images that infringe other people’s intellectual property rights;
• circumvent usage limits, including by modifying the app or calling its services directly;
• access the Service with automated tools or bots without permission;
• interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure;
• attempt to exploit vulnerabilities in the Service.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these Terms without prior notice.

7. Intellectual property

Your content

You keep all rights to your images and to the files Graviton produces from them. Graviton claims no ownership, license or rights to your images, and because they are processed on your device, we never have access to them.

Our service

The Graviton name, logo, website design and our own software are the intellectual property of Graviton. Open-source components remain under their own licenses. You may not copy, modify or distribute Graviton’s own software or branding without prior written permission.

8. Image processing and privacy

• Images are processed by your browser, on your device, and are never uploaded to Graviton.
• Nothing is sent to Graviton while you compress or preview. When you download an image, the browser sends us only its one-way fingerprint, so the download can be approved and, on Free, counted against your daily limit. We don’t store it. On Free, the only thing we keep is how many images your account downloaded today, for at most 48 hours; on Pro, downloads are not counted, so we keep nothing.
• Images are never used for training, analytics or any secondary purpose.

9. Service availability

We aim to keep Graviton available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be unavailable because of:

• scheduled maintenance or updates;
• infrastructure issues beyond our control;
• force majeure events.

We make reasonable efforts to announce planned downtime. We are not liable for loss or damage caused by interruptions.

10. Limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Keep copies of your original images.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Graviton is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including:

• loss of data or images;
• loss of profits or revenue;
• business interruption;
• damage to computer systems or data.

Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid Graviton in the twelve months before the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Graviton and its officers, directors, employees and agents from claims, damages, losses, liabilities and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

• your use of the Service;
• your violation of these Terms;
• your violation of any law or regulation;
• content you process that infringes the rights of a third party.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if:

• you violate these Terms;
• you harm the Service or other users;
• the law requires it.

On termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive, including intellectual property, limitation of liability and indemnification, remain in effect.

13. Changes to these terms

We may change these Terms. When we make material changes, we update the date at the top of this page and may email you. Using the Service after changes are posted means you accept them. If you disagree, stop using the Service and delete your account.
