How it works

Convert in three steps

  1. 1

Drop your WebP images in, or choose them from your device.

  2. 2

Graviton converts them to JPG right in your browser.

  3. 3

Download each JPG, or all of them as one ZIP.

Why convert WebP to JPG?

WebP is a web format that is usually 25–35% smaller than JPG, but some editors, upload forms and older apps reject it. JPG opens everywhere and suits photos, but it has no transparency.

What happens to quality?

Images are converted at high JPG quality (85). JPG has no transparency, so transparent areas become white.

Frequently asked questions

Why do images I save from websites end up as WebP?

Most websites now serve WebP because it loads faster. Browsers save the file as it was served, so you get a .webp even if the page showed a "photo".

Are my images uploaded?

No. Graviton converts and compresses inside your browser, so your images never leave your device. Nothing is sent while you compress. When you download, the browser sends only a one-way fingerprint of the image, so the download can be counted and approved. Graviton stores none of it.

Can I process many images at once?

Yes. Drop up to 250 images at once and download them one by one or together as a ZIP that keeps the original file names. On Free, each image counts once a day against your 3 downloads; Pro has no daily limit, so the whole batch downloads at once.

Is it free?

Yes. Compressing and converting are free and unlimited, with no account needed. Downloading needs a free account, which includes 3 downloads a day with every format and setting. Pro removes the daily limit.
