Why convert PNG to JPG?
PNG is lossless and supports transparency, which suits screenshots and graphics but makes photos large. JPG opens everywhere and suits photos, but it has no transparency.
What happens to quality?
Images are converted at high JPG quality (85). Transparent areas become white, because JPG has no transparency.

Should I convert screenshots to JPG?
For screenshots with text, PNG often stays sharper. Try "Compress PNG" first: it keeps the PNG format and usually removes 60–80% of the size.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Graviton converts and compresses inside your browser, so your images never leave your device. Nothing is sent while you compress. When you download, the browser sends only a one-way fingerprint of the image, so the download can be counted and approved. Graviton stores none of it.
