How it works

Convert in three steps

  1. 1

Drop your HEIC images in, or choose them from your device.

  2. 2

Graviton converts them to JPG right in your browser.

  3. 3

Download each JPG, or all of them as one ZIP.

Why convert HEIC to JPG?

HEIC is the iPhone's default photo format. It's efficient, but Windows, many websites and older apps can't open it. JPG opens everywhere and suits photos, but it has no transparency.

What happens to quality?

Photos are converted at high JPG quality (85), which looks identical to the HEIC on screen. Colors are converted to standard sRGB, so they look the same everywhere.

Frequently asked questions

Can I stop my iPhone saving HEIC?

Yes. In Settings → Camera → Formats, choose "Most Compatible". New photos will be JPG, but they take more space than HEIC.

Are my images uploaded?

No. Graviton converts and compresses inside your browser, so your images never leave your device. Nothing is sent while you compress. When you download, the browser sends only a one-way fingerprint of the image, so the download can be counted and approved. Graviton stores none of it.

Can I process many images at once?

Yes. Drop up to 250 images at once and download them one by one or together as a ZIP that keeps the original file names. On Free, each image counts once a day against your 3 downloads; Pro has no daily limit, so the whole batch downloads at once.

Is it free?

Yes. Compressing and converting are free and unlimited, with no account needed. Downloading needs a free account, which includes 3 downloads a day with every format and setting. Pro removes the daily limit.
