Discord’s limits
Emoji can be up to 256 KB and show at 128 × 128 at most. Stickers must be 320 × 320 PNG or APNG files of 512 KB or less. Graviton crops to a square, resizes and keeps the PNG under the limit, reducing colours only if it has to.
Transparent backgrounds
PNG keeps transparency, so a cut-out stays a cut-out. An animated GIF becomes a still PNG of its first frame.
Frequently asked questions
Can I make an animated emoji?
Not here: the result is a still PNG. To shrink an animated GIF emoji under 256 KB, use the GIF compressor.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Graviton converts and compresses inside your browser, so your images never leave your device. Nothing is sent while you compress. When you download, the browser sends only a one-way fingerprint of the image, so the download can be counted and approved. Graviton stores none of it.
Is it free?
Yes. Compressing and converting are free and unlimited, with no account needed. Downloading needs a free account, which includes 3 downloads a day with every format and setting. Pro removes the daily limit.
