Product photos that load fast and match across your catalog
Resize a whole catalog to one size, save WebP for your own store and JPG for marketplaces, and keep your SKU file names. Images are processed in your browser and never uploaded.

Workflow
A consistent catalog in six steps
- 1
Give every photo one shape
Set one exact size, such as 2000 × 2000, and choose Crop or Add bars, so the batch comes out matching. Open a photo to choose what its crop keeps.
- 2
Name files by SKU
File names are kept, so sku-1042-front.jpg becomes sku-1042-front.webp and still lines up with your product data.
- 3
Make the store set
Open the website preset, set quality to 80 and keep 1920 px, or 2560 px for zoom. Drop in up to 250 photos per batch, or whole folders, then download them one by one or as a ZIP that keeps your folders: 3 a day on Free, unlimited on Pro.
- 4
Make the marketplace set
Switch Format to JPG and quality to 85, then run the same photos again. Compressing is unlimited, and downloading a photo again the same day on the same device, in another format, counts once.
- 5
Check textured products
Fabric, jewelry and fine print show compression first. Open one such photo on its own, drag the before-and-after slider and raise quality if needed.
- 6
Upload and spot-check
Upload each set where it belongs, then open a product page on your phone, where file size matters most.
Why stores use it
Consistent images without the manual work
One size for the whole catalog
Set a maximum width and height once and every photo in the batch fits it. Proportions are kept, and smaller photos stay as they are unless you turn on Enlarge smaller images.
SKU file names kept
Files keep their names with the new extension, and duplicates become “name (2).jpg”, so anything that matches images by file name still lines up.
Lighter product pages
Smaller images load sooner, which can improve Largest Contentful Paint, one of Google’s Core Web Vitals, on product and collection pages.
Unreleased products stay private
Photos are compressed in your browser and never uploaded, so new products stay off other servers until launch day.
Supplier photos from any phone
iPhone HEIC photos are read directly and saved as WebP or JPG, with location and camera metadata removed.
Every feature on both plans
A free account includes 3 downloads a day. Pro only removes that limit.
FAQ
Questions from store owners
Should product photos be WebP or JPG?
WebP for your own store: every modern browser shows it, and it is smaller than JPG at the same quality. JPG for marketplaces, product feeds and anywhere else that may not accept WebP. Check each platform’s current requirements.
What size should product images be?
For your own store, 1920 px is a safe default, or 2560 px if your theme zooms. Marketplaces publish their own recommended and minimum sizes, and these change, so check your platform’s current limits.
Can Graviton make photos square or remove backgrounds?
Square, yes: set an exact size such as 2000 × 2000 and choose Crop, or Add bars in white to keep the whole product, which the Amazon tool does for you. Backgrounds, no: cut those out in your editor first, then use Graviton to size and compress the batch.
Will compression make my products look worse?
At quality 80 for WebP and 85 for JPG, differences are very hard to see at normal viewing size. Textured products show artifacts first, so check one on its own with the before-and-after slider before you run the catalog.
How many product photos can I download a day?
Compressing is unlimited. A free account includes 3 downloads a day, reset at midnight UTC, and Pro has no daily limit. On Free, downloading a WebP and a JPG of the same photo on the same day, on the same device, counts once.
