Why convert GIF to PNG?
GIF is a decades-old format limited to 256 colours: fine for simple animations, but photos look banded and files run large. PNG is lossless and supports transparency, which suits screenshots and graphics but makes photos large.
What happens to quality?
The conversion is lossless: the first frame’s pixels and transparent areas are kept exactly. An animated GIF keeps only its first frame.

Are my images uploaded?
