Export at the size you need
Export from your design tool at the scale you will use, such as 2× for high-density screens. Graviton only scales down, never up.

Choose by content
Flat UI, icons and illustrations: Compress PNG. Photos and mockups: WebP or JPG. Anything that must match exactly: PNG with Lossless on.

Check edges and gradients
Drop in one image to get the before-and-after slider. Look at soft shadows, gradients and anti-aliased edges, and raise quality or turn on Lossless if they shift.

Run the batch
Drop in up to 250 exports at once, up to 100 MB each. They are processed in parallel on your device, then download one by one or as a ZIP: 3 a day on Free, unlimited on Pro.

Hand off with the same names
The ZIP keeps your export names and only changes the extension, so icon-search@2x.png becomes icon-search@2x.webp and still matches the spec.

Colors in sRGB
Exports in Display P3 or Adobe RGB are converted to sRGB, the color space most web pages assume.
Export names kept
Files keep their names with the new extension, and duplicates become “name (2).png” instead of overwriting each other.
FAQ
Questions from designers
Does Graviton keep transparency?
Yes, in PNG, WebP and AVIF, including semi-transparent pixels. JPG has no transparency, so transparent areas become white.
Can I compress SVG files?
No. Graviton works on raster images: JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF and HEIC. Keep vector artwork as SVG, or export it to PNG first.
Will palette reduction change my brand colors?
It can shift them slightly. Palette reduction picks the set of up to 256 colors that best represents the image and adds subtle dithering to gradients. When colors must match exactly, turn on Lossless under More options.
What happens to color profiles?
Colors are converted to sRGB, which is what browsers assume for images without a profile. For print work in other color spaces, deliver your original exports.
Should I hand off WebP or AVIF?
Ask the developer. WebP encodes quickly and works in every modern browser; AVIF is usually smaller but slower to encode. Many sites serve AVIF with a WebP or JPG fallback.
